On this page we explain how to get an account for the Lisa system, and how to proceed when you got one. Please, do not hesitate to contact our helpdesk if there are any problems or questions with regard to the Lisa system.
How to get an account depends on your affiliation (see below).
PLEASE NOTE
Please login to our Servicedesk, select the Helpdesk button and submit a new request with the following information:
You can add your project leader to the ticket by using the Share option on the upper right corner on your request overview.
Affiliates of UvA can get access to the GPU-Island of Lisa. Because UvA has arranged for a fixed amount of credits on the GPU-island, usage of the GPU-island is accounted for separately, so you will need an extra login & account to access it.
You can apply GPUs via Access to Lisa GPU partition - Pilot.
Initially, you will be granted a fixed starters budget to familiarize yourself with running your jobs on the GPU’s. This budget will be enforced, i.e. your account will be blocked when you have used up all budget. You can apply for an extension or expansion of your budget, which is subject to approval from UvA, by opening a ticket via Access to Lisa GPU partition - Pilot. Once the ticket is created the request has to be approved by the head of the UvA IT Services, who will automatically get a notification.
